The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Israel commemorated the 78th Independence Day of Sri Lanka on 4 February 2026 with a cultural event open to the general public.
To mark the occasion, the Embassy organised a traditional Kandyan dancing performance, offering attendees a vibrant glimpse into Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage. The event provided an opportunity for visitors to engage with the performers, learn about the traditions, and capture memorable moments.
Sri Lanka continues to gain increasing visibility among the public in Israel, and the Embassy remains committed to further strengthening people-to-people connections between the two countries
